We propose the instructions for you to learn how to follow a diagram in British English. There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English.
Every stitch has an own symbol.
For example:
Each stitch has the sequence one after another. On the diagram you can see different type of arrows. Same of them indicate the stitch sequence and direction on which you should crochet.
For example:
Work: 6 double crochet, turn, 7 chains and 1 double crochet in 5th double crochet of previous row. Work * 2 double crochet and 1 picot, repeat from * 2 times, 2 double crochet. Work 1 double crochet.
The arrows under the symbol indicates a space in which to insert hook.
This arrow shows that double crochet work in the space between two groups of 4 treble.
