Hairpin Lace: Shell motif

Posted by Marie on Apr 10, 2009

This beautiful shell motifs crocheted on hairpin lace loom 7 cm, with very thin yarn ( 50% angora, 50% viscose) and hook 1,6 mm.

Below we will learn how to crochet, and connect motifs with each other. Also good hairpin lace tutorials you can find on stitchdiva.com

Let’s start!

The next shells are connected to each other by double / single crochet. The connect stitches you find here, they are marked by red arrows.

This motif especially good for big things like shawl or tablecloth.

Use a thin and light yarn like angora and mohair for this motifs.  The number of chains may vary depending on your crochet “handwriting”.

Good luck! :-)

I don’t understand…are they all made, connected to the beginning motif, or are you making new motifs then fastening off, then connecting?
