new to crochet

Im using a gorgeous stitch from the openwork section, stitch 2025.

I’ve been trying to make a shawl but I’m cluless how todsecrease with this stitch.  I’ve treid several ways…none look right….Any suggestions?

I think if you using this pattern for shawl you need to increase. Start with one shell, and then increase to two shells, then - three, thus increasing by one shell every time. You get a triangle.

For increasing work in every thir row (row with dc/sc and 5chs) at the beginning 8 turning chs and at the end - 5 chs and 1 tr/dc. In next row for shells work 8 tr/dc in these spaces.

Could I get clearer instructions on how to increase the shells from one, then to 2, then 3 , then 4 etc.
