  • 1 Insert the hook into the stitch to left of the hook, yarn over hook (steps 1, 2).

  • 3 And draw through a stitch and loop on the hook (step 3).
    4 For next slip stitch: insert hook into next stitch to left of the hook, yarn over and work step 3.

    Crochet rows and rounds.
    Crochet can be worked in rows or rounds. When working in rows the work is turned, as in knitting, to start a new row. Many patterns, such as hats, bags, socks or baby booties, are worked circularly (or in rounds). In work the last stitch of each round is connected to the first stitch with a slip stitch.
